You can also get involved in one of the working groups that came out of the Madison dialogue meetings. We are involved in spearheading one of these initiatives, focusing on international fair trade manufacturing principals and standards.

You can make a difference! Part of the difficulty in the jewelry sector is that the market for ethically sourced product has yet to be established. We know you want it, but the word on the street is not yet out.
Ask your retailer for eco-friendly jewelry that is fair trade sourced. Show your support of companies that care about communities and ecology by purchasing from them. If just five percent of people who purchased jewelry asked their retailers about this issue, we would see a major shift in the market!
